Based in Cleveland, Ohio - the Indians are a professional major league baseball team established back in 1901. The team was named the Indians because of the request made by the club owner after the 1914 season, the team is also known by two other nicknames such as the Tribe and the Wahoos. The term Wahoo is a direct reference to the team logo which features a Native American that has gotten the team some but you are amongst Native Americans for helping perpetuate this stereotype.
Their current ballpark is the Progressive Field; the team owner is Larry Dolan, the manager is Eric Wedge and the General Manager is Mark Shapiro.

The Cleveland Indians seem to have quite a brilliant future up ahead as Cliff Lee has been called the 2008 comeback player of the year and this is not a title given because he got lucky but because of the fact that he has proven to be quite an effective pitcher, a pitcher who has literally to carry his struggling team on his shoulders and put them on a more favorable position.
As many of his teammates put it, they feel very comfortable about going into the off-season knowing that they have the top of the line pitcher backing them up and making things happen.
